Refresh (Scuba Skills Update)
Když pauza trvala déle, než bylo v plánu.
Two students. One native English-speaking SSI Instructor. Three days. A dry suit from the very beginning.
And two certifications at the end: Open Water Diver + Dry Suit Diving.
No overcrowded groups and no course run in the style of “let’s just get this done by Sunday.” Our Open Water Diver Dry course is taught in English by a native English-speaking SSI Instructor, with a maximum of two students per instructor, so we can adapt the pace to you and actually teach you how to dive — not just hand you a certification and wish you luck.
This course is designed for beginners who want to complete their Open Water Diver training directly in a dry suit. You will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving and, at the same time, how to use a dry suit properly. The result is two certifications: SSI Open Water Diver and SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty.
The course most often runs as an intensive three-day stay, including online theory, training in our own pool, and open water dives. On top of the standard Open Water Diver skills, we focus on dry suit control, buoyancy, correct habits, and practical skills that help you avoid looking like a surprised inflatable buoy underwater.
And because your real opinion of diving only develops once you are actually in the water, you can decide by Saturday lunchtime that it is not for you. We will end the course and refund your money. No persuasion and no emotional blackmail involving a regulator.
After successful completion, you will receive the internationally recognized SSI Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive with a buddy down to 18 metres, and also the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty certification. In other words: you do not just start diving. You start in a way that actually makes sense for quarries, lakes, and colder water.
Why choose dry suit version?
Because if you want to dive in real local conditions, a dry suit makes sense from the very beginning. Czech quarries, lakes, and many European dive sites are not exactly tropical pools with a cocktail waiting on the shore. The water can be beautiful, clear, and full of life — but it can also explain the meaning of “cold” very efficiently.
By starting directly in a dry suit, you learn from day one with the equipment you are actually likely to use. You do not have to complete your Open Water Diver course in a wetsuit first and then relearn buoyancy, comfort, body position, and equipment handling later.
The dry suit version is ideal if you want to keep diving beyond summer, explore quarries and lakes, dive in colder water, continue with advanced courses, or later move towards technical diving, sidemount, wrecks, or caves.
A dry suit is not about showing off. It is a practical choice that makes your diving season much longer — and a lot more comfortable.
Our Open Water Diver Dry course most often runs as an intensive three-day stay from Friday to Sunday. No several weeks of commuting, packing, and hunting for a free evening in your calendar. Weekends do not work for you? We can arrange another three consecutive days.
The course is taught in English by a native English-speaking SSI Instructor, so you can focus on diving — not on guessing what was just said in the briefing.
Accommodation, food, full scuba equipment, dry suit rental, and entry fees to the dive site are included. You arrive, learn, dive, eat, sleep, and repeat — without turning every training day into a logistics exercise.
With a maximum of two students per instructor, we adapt the pace to you. A dry suit adds a few extra skills and habits at the beginning, and those deserve time, calm practice, and proper explanation. No certification production line. We would rather teach fewer people and teach them to dive properly.
And the bonus? You do not leave with just one certification, but with two: Open Water Diver and Dry Suit Diving. Which is a pretty solid start to your diving journey. Your wallet may have opinions, but your future dives will understand.
The course takes at least three consecutive days. Most often, we run it from Friday to Sunday, but you can arrive on Thursday evening and avoid starting the morning with a logistics marathon. If weekends do not work for you, we can arrange another three consecutive days.
The course includes:
The exact timing of each part depends on your pace and agreement with the instructor. We do not train by stopwatch or checkbox. A dry suit is a great servant, but a rather annoying master — so we give it as much time as needed.
After successful completion, you will receive the SSI Open Water Diver and SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty certifications.
